In response to your  post  everyone has seen that   notice - Georgia  is lagging and  I like your post  did you ever  get your  Georgia Refund yet?   We are  still waiting    Orig  we  filed  5/15/21 we got  Fed refunded in  2 weeks  The State of Georgia  is  Lagging and  wrong  this is the error message ??  we get when checking "  Please verify the social security number, refund amount and tax year entered and retry."   The info was entered  correctly however  there is a huge delay and lag in Georgia  The Feds got it right and instantly.

Georgia took  6 months last year  it  is extremely  Laggish  just like the Post OFfice or any Gov office you enter in Georgia  the hire people educated however these  folks are not rushing to work those tax refunds in a timely manner they are  there to collect their paycheck

Which phone number did you use?  Mine were accepted March 3rd and I still have not received my refund - it states its still processing when I check online.

It is 09/18/2021 and my Fed and GA state tax returns were filed and accepted in early March 2021. While received the Fed refund promptly, I have not to this date received my GA refund for no apparent reason I am aware of! Same status: "processing" shows. Tried to reach calling their official contact number to inquire but got sick and tired of waiting for a response despite my painfully long waits. I wonder what is wrong with the service.

From my experience to date, I have never had any delay with the Federal Tax refund. They have a proven and consistent track record of sending and/or directly depositing my refunds promptly without any delay!

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

It took over 6 months to get my Georgia State Refund.  I finally received it

Fortunately the IRS discovered that they over charged me on my SSI and Pension withdrawals and had to refund over $4,000.
