I filed in February and haven’t received my refund yet and the web page only tells me that they have received it and that they have 90 days to process

As stated on the Georgia website it may take up to 90 days to process a state tax return. However, that is the exception and not the rule.
Same here it's frustrating but relieved at the same time that it's not just me.
Same here. I did get a letter in the mail to identify identity on the State website, over 3 months ago. Everything seemed fine, I have no idea. The State of Georgia has been absolutely HORRIBLE about anything and everything Ive had to do with them.
Woah..... Next level stuff there.
I'd definitely be asking about the deposit information for your interest percentage on that.
I called the number listed on the website and after I put in my information twice I waited and talked to a very nice lady and she said they received my return on Feb 12th and it takes 90 working days from the day accepted not counting weekend or holidays and I should receive mine sometime in june and that it still shows mine being processed and that was at the end of may so I'd say 4 months to get processed and mailed out to me..
hello there...yes i'm in same predicament...e-file early feb and still waiting...its been over 90 business days now...impossible to get through, i'm sure they would say the same thing as their website when i check..."been received and processing"...
No. The IRS number keeps you on hold for hours and then tells you that their call volume is too high that day and to call back at a later date and hangs up.
@Amy Privett The original subject of this thread was delayed refunds from the state of Georgia. But there are over fifty posts in this old thread now, and we cannot tell if you are talking about your federal refund or your state refund. The IRS has nothing to do with your Georgia refund if that is why you posted to this thread. For a state refund you have to contact the state. The IRS only processes your federal tax return.
Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities, There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.
STATE RETURN

As of June 23, 2021, we had 17.5 million unprocessed individual returns in the pipeline. Unprocessed returns include tax year 2020 returns such as those requiring correction to the Recovery Rebate Credit amount or validation of 2019 income used to figure the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC). This work does not require us to correspond with taxpayers but does require special handling by an IRS employee so, in these instances, it is taking the IRS more than 21 days to issue any related refund. If, as a result, a correction is made to any RRC, EITC or ACTC claimed on the return, the IRS will send taxpayers an explanation. Taxpayers are encouraged to continue to check Where’s My Refund? for their personalized refund status and can review Tax Season Refund Frequently Asked Questions.
How long you may have to wait: The IRS understands the importance of timely processing of tax returns and refund issuance. We have processed all error free returns received prior to 2021, and continue to work the returns that need to be manually reviewed due to errors. We are rerouting tax returns and taxpayer correspondence from locations that are behind to locations where more staff is available, and we are taking other actions to minimize any delays. Tax returns are opened and processed in the order received. As the return is processed, it may be delayed because it has a mistake including errors concerning the Recovery Rebate Credit, is missing information, or there is suspected identity theft or fraud. If we can fix it without contacting you, we will. If we need more information or need you to verify that it was you who sent the tax return, we will write you a letter. The resolution of these issues depends on how quickly and accurately you respond, and the ability of IRS staff trained and working under social distancing requirements to complete the processing of your return.
What you should do: If you filed electronically and received an acknowledgement, you do not need to take any further action other than promptly responding to any requests for information. If you filed on paper, check Where’s my refund? If it tells you we have received your return or are processing or reviewing it, we are processing your return, but it may be under review. We’re working hard to get through the backlog. Please don’t file a second tax return or contact the IRS about the status of your return.
no i haven't...unable to get through...automation answers after on hold forever and takes a number they can call you on but they never call.
Mine has been in for 6 months.
As far as GA state earning interest by hold our money.....they should be paying interest on all refunds starting from the day the refund was accepted. In my case it will be 6 months on Aug 01.
After all the wait 1 to 2 year to send you past errors and payment, if warranted, then tact on interest for that entire time that it took them to send you the notice.
No good to call unless you like being on hold for hours.
Best bet is call immediately when they open.
However, they will only tell you a stories...fraud protection etc.
BUT, do ask them if they are going to pay you interest for the duration that they have been holding your refund back. After all they would charge you interest in a heart beat, albeit about 2 years of interest, which is how long they wait to notify you of errors on your refund.
