Can you get a loan on your taxes? I think it's called a refund advance. Can I get it done today December 26th 2022 or do I have to wait till January 2023?

Do I have to wait till I get my W-2's and can I do it in December because I need money now if I have to wait till then, then I will just wait on my normal taxes. Someone let me know please!

Sorry.  The Advance won't be available until after January 1 and just when you are ready to file.  And only if they offered it to you.  You can't self select it.  Then you don't get it until AFTER your efile is Accepted by the IRS.

No, you cannot get a refund advance in December.

The TurboTax 2022 refund advance will not be until January 2023.  It will be available only after you have completed the 2022 tax return, have a federal tax refund, selected direct deposit and if you are eligible it will be offered in the File section of the program.  If eligible you will receive the advance after the federal tax return is e-filed and accepted by the IRS.

The IRS will not be accepting any 2022 tax return until mid to late January 2023.

Thank you guys so much! You have no idea how long I have tried to get someone to give me an answer on this. I asked every tax place but they never gave me a clue! So I appreciate this bunches!
