If you want to blame someone, blame Congress. They keep changing the tax law and adding work to the IRS, but with no additional funding. See these:

Only the government controls the timing of stimulus payments. The IRS is sending out Stimulus #3 payments in batches, and will take a few weeks to complete them all. This one comes to you separately (and automatically), not as part of your 2020 tax refund. You can check the status here:

Also be aware that any changes to the TT software must first be approved by the IRS and/or State, as applicable.
The IRS has very specifically stated that they do not want amended returns for the unemployment tax law change. They are sorting out a way to refund people who filed before that law changed and who now should receive money back for tax withheld for unemployment. If you are referring to your third stimulus----that is not controlled by TurboTax. The IRS is issuing the 3rd stimulus checks on its own timetable. It is not a part of your 2020 tax refund.

There ya go blaming the IRS again. The only reason I cant amend my return is because Turbotax doesn't have a program for it yet(which should have been available by now). Its been almost 2 months since I filed. My friends that use other online tax companies aren't having these problems, it's unique to Turbotax. TaxAct, Credit Karma, HR Block, Tax Slayer....There's just too many other options to put up with the nightmare that TurboTax is.
Good Day.
I'm referring to my 1st stimulus. Companies had to act fast to make sure customers got their funds, TurboTax was lacking, again. Its just the way the company is set up and managed, customers of other tax companies don't' have these problems.

Are you referring to the unemployment compensation exclusion? That has been part of the TurboTax program across all platforms, online and desktop, since 03/26/2021.
That is the update that was just modified by the IRS on 03/23/2021 and TurboTax got to the update within 3 days.
