After filling a married filling jointly 2020 tax return. I received a W-2C from my employer that shows that previously reported social security tax withheld $4,344 and corrected social security tax withheld is $5,993. Our total corrected social security tax withheld is $9,613 and total adjusted gross income is $135,810. Should we receive additional refund if we amend our 2020 tax return?

No. The IRS does not refund Social Security as an amount combined between the two spouses on a joint return. You only get a refund if your employer(s) withheld an amount in excess of $8637 for ONE spouse. You do not need to amend for the corrected amount of $5993. It will have no effect---unless you had more than one employer in 2020 and the total amount withheld just for YOU is more than $8637.
Probably not...but depends on what you are indicating....not clear where your $9613 is coming from
The Max SS withholding for all of ONE person's W-2 forms is $8853.60 (oops, wrong year) $8537.40 for 2020.....not both spouse's
I can't tell if you are adding together both spouse's W-2 box 4 values or not.....can't do that.

IF one of you had multiple employers, such that box 4 totaled more than the individual Max, then yes, amending 2020 taxes could/should result in some $$ back.
The amount that SteamTrain cited is correct for 2021----The maximum amount for one of the spouses on a joint return is $8853. If one of the spouses had more than one employer, and more than that $8853 was withheld for just one of you, there would be a reason to amend and seek a refund. But it does not ever go by the amounts of both spouses' combined box 4 amounts.
