No.    The IRS does not refund Social Security as an amount combined between the two spouses on a joint return.   You only get a refund if your employer(s) withheld an amount in excess of $8637 for ONE spouse.   You do not need to amend for the corrected amount of $5993.   It will have no effect---unless you had more than one employer in 2020 and the total amount withheld just for YOU is more than $8637.
