It's truly frustrating, when I try to use the credit card payment in order to avoid the $45 Premium Service, but it keeps telling me that it is having an issue with my half a dozen tries, even though the info I entered is correct.
If Intuit doesn't make a change on this, I will no longer buy its TurboTax products.

You may have to call customer service to get your credit card issue resolved.
Not quite sure what the real issue is---you mention state e-file fee, and you mention using Premium and wanting to avoid a $45 fee. Are you using the CD/download for Premier----desktop software? If so, that software includes the state software to prepare the state return, but there is a $25 fee to e-file the state return. You can avoid that $25 fee if you print, sign and mail the state return instead.
Or....are you talking about the online software called Premium? If you are using online, there is always a separate fee for the federal software and the state software. There is not an extra fee to e-file. The fee is for using the software for preparing your tax returns.
Are you trying to remove Premium services?
How can I see my TurboTax fees?

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons (BEFORE you e-file) :
You are in California, right? You selected to have the $20 or 25 state efile deducted from your federal refund. There is an EXTRA $40(45 in CA) Refund Processing Service charge for that. In California you have to add on Premium for $45. You have to be careful what you click on when you file, go slowly. There is one screen that can trip you up. People get going to fast and click the bottom right button to continue. But to pay by credit card you need to check the Left button.
In California Desktop program to remove Audit Defense and Premium Services you have to change to pay the $20 or $25 state efile fee by credit card and not by having it deducted from your federal refund. Or print and mail state for free. Go back through the File tab again and change to pay with a credit card. Then if Audit Defense is still there you can remove it. See this screen shot,
