I had to fax the it's a 1095-A and a 8962 form so how long will it be before they process my return how will I know if my return amount changes didn't have to do amended?

@lydia101.102 yesterday was my exact 8 weeks and they told me to call back today because I had to let them get through the rest of the day, I would wait until tomorrow or the next day...you can call eight zero zero eight two nine one zero four zero, press option 2 (questions regarding personal income taxes) follow it from there

@lydia101.102 no I work both of my jobs today and won't have time, the rep I spoke with yesterday notated my account so when I do call back they will be putting a referral through, she confirmed they received my docs and then it was reassigned. Once they put the referral through it is another 4 weeks to receive refund or a letter she stated.

This has honestly been the worst process of anything in my life.
I sent my 8962  8 weeks ago and was told many different things multiple times when I called during these weeks.
I called today and the lady told me that my refund is in "system error" (someone told me this before and the next week it wasn't in system error, but another lady told me sometimes it does this when it's moving to the next step). anyways the lady told me that all she can do is escalate it and wait another 30 days.

The IRS is an absolute joke of an institution, I really don't know how everyone doesn't have the same information. I've already contacted the Tax Payer Advocate line and going to see if that will help at all.

@jb24haider I tracked my certified copies to them as of last night it was delivered, Im going to wait until this Friday to call again and see if I get anything different. Im now keeping track of all names and their badge number they give us when they call because I'm so tired of this back and forth no real process and procedure. My last update was on 5/7 I called (my exact 8 weeks) was on the phone for an hour and a half the lady started to help me then decides to tell me because I was on the exact day of my 8 weeks I have to give them the rest of that day to process to call back the next day, so I waited 2 days called back then was told whomever I spoke to on the 7th put me on a code 324 (back dated to 5/6) meaning I never responded to my original letter which was a lie and two other reps confirmed they had my docs prior to 5/7. This lady then told me I should resend my docs but not to the fax number so I certified mailed, the code I was in was basically that they were going to process my refund without the information and then once they received it do the adjustment, so I will either receive a bill or adjustment for the following year or a check in the mail for the difference. With all that I will have to wait an additional 6-8 weeks from 5/6. So It will be more than half of the year gone before I even see my refund, my tax preparer has not helped us with one bit of this I've done all the work but wants an outrageous amount of money from us (that is pissing me off too). @mj7641  I never knew I could file a complaint I will most definitely be using that link thank you so much!

@laddidles Wow. That's absolutely ridiculous. I will also keep track of badge numbers.
The Taxpayer advocate line told me that the answers are different because it depends on the person and how helpful they want to be. 2 times I called and  these 2 very nice ladies did alot of research and gave me the info, the other 2 times i guess the people were just bad at their jobs/not good at researching the codes.
I'm hoping that the issue being escalated today will make it faster. If the 30 days pass and I still don't have a refund i'm going to raise hell in any way i can. Thankfully I don't need the money right away to survive but i can imagine how much more frustrated people who NEED the money would be.

@jb24haider I figured that was the case because I would get people who would ask me questions and others just say "call back in 8 weeks" to get me off the phone. Right before I spoke with the last person that gave me the most info I called five minutes prior to that and when they ask to verify your name or names as it appears on the refund I did 5 times and she yelled at me and said you are wrong and hung up on me. I think I know my name LOL!

So my 8 weeks was over last month on 22rd. They did referral I was told to wait 30 days. I  sent forms again certified mail. My 30 days will be next week the 22nd. So I called IRS earlier this week still no update for me even after they sent referral over. So I called Tax advocate again and they finally assigned me a advocate. Someone suppose to call me next this same time. So hopefully something happens.

Nothing here but I did get an apology for what’s happening. I made the rep aware that it’s thousands of us that are in the same boat and we may go to the media. Lol then she told me mines was processing as if I didn’t sen in documents. I said no ma’am that’s not gonna happened lol they don’t even care about the docs

I will be calling again tomorrow which would of given them an additional 10 days from the date they said it went into code 324. I tracked my certified mail and shows it was delivered to their hub. If I get a different answer again tomorrow I’m going to file a complain or get a tax advocate. All the years I have filed I have never in my life had to deal with this we only had marketplace for 3 months last year this is ridiculous, I get being busy but to get a different story every time you call to the IRS that is just the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.
