Last year I efiled state of NJ (usually just mail) thinking I would get a quicker refund. After over two months I got a notice that they could not process my refund because I did not supply copies of my 1099R docs!!! If we need to supply these how does Turbo Tax handle this thru the filing oprocess?

If the return is e-filed the tax data from the Form 1099-R is sent within the e-filed tax return.
If you print and mail your tax return you are required to include a copy of the Form 1099-R with the mailed tax return.
I DID efile - so the 1099 data was included in my efile return? But two months later the state sent me a notice that they could not process my refund until I sent them copies of thge 1099 R forms!!!!

Then that is an issue with the state of New Jersey.
For example - I have two Form 1099-R's in my tax return and have included these for the past 10 tax years.
I e-file my state tax return to the state of Georgia each tax year. The state has never requested me to send them a paper copy of the Form 1099-R.
