The IRS will send you a letter if your refund amount has been adjusted. It's possible the stimulus payment information you entered was not correct.
Watch for a CP10, CP11, CP12, CP13, CP16, CP23, CP24 or CP25 notice from the IRS. Those are the stimulus correction notices.
TurboTax offers free audit support. Contact us once you receive your IRS letter and we can go over it with you. If you purchased Audit Defense, contact them instead.

It is a CP 24. Does that mean that I entered too much for stimulus? I entered the two payments we received last year for my husband and myself. I so appreciate your help!
Do you have an amount on 1040 line 30? If you already got the Stimulus payments line 30 should be 0.
As I explained, we did get two sets of checks. The amount on line 30 is 0. I am not sure what that means? Did I make a mistake and have to now file an amended return? Am I due that $1400? Thank you.
CP 24 usually is for this:
We changed your return because we found a difference between the amount of estimated tax payments on your tax return and the amount we posted to your account.
Did you make or claim any Estimated Tax Payments? But if your 2020 income was higher than 2019, it might be too high for the stimulus eligibility.
Hello, We did not make any estimated tax payments, but we did pay off a previous year's tax due. We have the paperwork from the IRS that shows a $0 balance since July of 2020. Our income was just slightly less last year. I so appreciate everyone's help! I just need to know if the $1400 "adjustment" is something that I am due.
How long do I have to wait for the adjustment to go through and when is I receive my refund
@julionia180 TurboTax receives no information from the IRS after you file your return. No one at TT knows about an adjustment the IRS made to your refund. You will have to watch the IRS refund site for information. Only the IRS can tell you when the refund will be sent.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
