Here is more information on the 5 days early option: https://turbotax.intuit.com/early-tax-refunds/
CatinaT1,
Could you please maybe provide a real answer to the questions being asked and not a link to the FAQ that doesn't answer anyone's questions?
You've done this with three other posts so far. All the same question/issue and you're giving the same unhelpful "answer".
This is all the information we have in the community.
Mine says the 4th and today is the 30th so I’m going with it was a scam of 25$
Please note: If your federal refund is deposited into your selected bank account less than 5 days before the IRS refund settlement date (the date it would have arrived if sent from the IRS directly), then you will not pay the 5 Days Early fee.
I wanna block her
I agree
They're really just adding whatever fees they want to at this point. Next year I'm definitely using a different tax service. Such bull**bleep**.
I PAID $25 FOR A 5 day early refund
TurboTax has NO control over the amount of time it can take the IRS to process your tax return and issue your refund. TT gives you an estimated refund date based only on a 21 day average, which is not a promise from TT or the IRS.
Has the IRS accepted your e-file?
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Has the IRS processed your tax return and provided an issue date for the refund on the IRS refund site? If so, count backwards on your calendar for those five days and hope for the best..
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
Are you subject to the PATH act which means if you are getting earned income credit or additional child tax credit they are required to hold your refund until February 15?
If you are subject to PATH, do not expect your refund before early March. Be very pleasantly surprised it it comes sooner.

Remember that the “”5 day early” date is based on the date given to you on the IRS refund site—-not the date the TT site shows in your account. If your refund does not come in five days ahead of the IRS date, they are supposed to cancel the $25 fee.
They could not get mine 5 days early or even one day earlier than irs date so they did not charge the $25
Well it said on there if you do not end up getting your money five days early will get your refund back so it's not a scam.
I dug a little deeper. If you claimed the Earned Income Credit, the IRS cannot legally give you your refund until mid-February. The 5 day early refund applies to when TurboTax RECEIVES the info from the IRS that your return is scheduled to be deposited, then TurboTax will give you your funds 5 days earlier than the deposit date from the IRS. From what I understand, it is when TurboTax receives the info that your refund is definitely approved that you will receive your refund..
The five day early option is a scam . SBTGP doesn’t have any info on your money turbo tax can’t answer any questions. I have a deposit date from the IRS for Feb 5 and Monday Feb 2 turbo tax told me they cannot issue the 5 day early option, where is my money ??? Where was it sent to
