Is 5 days early a scam,cant get answers from anyone,irs says refund by the 3rd,does that mean the 29th from turbo tax

I agree. I can't even read the replies because my screen is blowing up with "you got 5 badges!" Most aggravating thread of my life and what's worse is I paid for it.

I actually received mine 3 days earlier when my refund was approved by the IRS. I called turbo tax because after receiving my refund the IRS tracker was still stating that I was going to receive it. Turbo tax told me that the payment I received was from them (TT) and they will get their payment from the IRS. So it's not going into my account. Which it did not

It does kinda seem like a scam if you think about it. There are too many variables to consider to be as sure as to "guarantee" a result they actually have no control over.. cmon now.. they're saying you MAY get your refund 5 days earlier than the direct deposit date your given on the where's my refund site.. and if you don't, you won't have to pay the 25 dollars. The problem is, those direct deposit dates typically aren't 5 days out. Ide it's 4 days max. I think this whole 5 days early thing is a bit too confusing for most people and y'all should drop that campaign. The refund advance is cool. But this ain't it. Just my opinion as a long time turbo tax customer.

Thank you for this!! I was wondering how that part work. Definitely got mine 5 days early like they said. But IRS says I’m getting a refund. I figured it would just go straight to TurboTax but thank you for confirming this. Not sure how many people had so many issues. Mine was fast and easy and like I said 5 days early like they promised.

I submitted my return on the 27th and it says it was accepted but it's still not showing approved... how soon did u get the refund delivery date?

I filed the 27th as well and got mine on Feb. 6th.

You clearly didn’t read the FAQ when selecting that option like so many other people looking for answers that are right there. If it’s not within 5 days of the WMR date you do not pay the money. How can it be a scam if it gives you all the information.

It’s a scam love my money is floating in the air right now because TT sent a message saying it can’t do my 5 days early and they use river bank which don’t know anything about the money either

There's nothing in the info for 5 Days Early or Refund Advance about River Bank.  The FAQ lists the different banks used.

@CatinaT1 if that was the case then why is it some still got thier refund with less than 5 business days? Turbotax needs to realize people talk and the stories you tell we all know are not the truth.
