If the direct deposit could not be made by the processing bank then they should mail you a check to the address on your return. Did you move since filing ? If so check with the processing bank to update your address if you can. If not then the processing bank probably sent the money back to the IRS which is where the third stimulus payments are sent from as well as any advance payments of the CTC.
Mail in a form 8822 ASAP to the IRS if the address on your return is no longer good : https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8822
Well what ever happened? I’m experiencing the same right now n I’m super nervous.
It can take up to 5 business days for your bank to deposit your tax return refund in to your account. If the status in Where’s My Refund? shows “Refund Sent”, the IRS has sent your tax refund to your bank for direct deposit. If you do not receive it after 5 business days, you will need to contact your bank.
@Tiff245philly

You said "check", but you cannot deduct any TurboTax fees out of a paper check. That payment option requires direct deposit (to a bank account or card.) So I'll presume you meant to type "refund" instead of "check."
You didn't say if the IRS has actually released your refund. So I'll go through all the steps, some of which you may have already done.
Did you use Online Deluxe at $39 for a Federal return, and did you choose to pay the fees out of the Federal refund? If so, in addition to that product fee there is a $40 service fee for that option ($45 for California filers.)
First, if you efiled, make sure your efiled return was accepted. You can log into your Online TurboTax account to check the efile status at the Tax Home to be sure your efiled return was accepted by the IRS.
If your efiled return was accepted, has the IRS finished processing it and released your refund? You can use this tool at the IRS website to check:
If that IRS tool says that your refund has been sent, the IRS says it can take up to 5 days due to variations in bank processing times and procedures. However, since you choose to pay the fees out of your Federal refund, once the IRS releases the refund, it goes first from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest of the funds on to your bank (or card) in a second direct deposit. That process is handled by a company called SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group).
If you are sure the IRS has released and sent your funds, you can log in to your temporary account at SBTPG to see the status of your funds.
To log in, choose the "For Taxpayers" portal at:
https://www.sbtpg.com/
SBTPG has a phone contact page at the following link. It also shows their business hours. Even when they are closed, you may be able to get automated info, or you can log in as above.

My refund was deposited on 01/28/22 and is still not in my account. How can I access the intermediary account information?
Per @mesquitebean above:

IRS indicates that my refund was deposited in my bank account on 2/7/22. It is not there. There were fees due turbotax so can you please advise the status on when I will see my portion of the refund.
It has been 14 days, where is my refund from you.

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

It’s says my refund was deposited on the 7th of this month. My bank does not see a deposit.

@Jesset86
Did you have any TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of the Federal refund? If so, the funds go first from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest of the funds on to your bank (or card.) If you used that method to pay fees, and if the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool shows that the IRS has actually released the funds, you can check on the funds at the level of the intermediary company (SBTPG).
If that's your situation, you can go to the SBTPG website and choose the "For taxpayers" portal at:

IRS said my federal tax refund was deposited on 2/24/2022. But my bank has no record of the deposit. My state tax refund was correctly deposited to my account.

No, the IRS website would have indicated the refund was Sent on 02/24/2022, not deposited.
The IRS website would have also stated -
If your refund is not credited to your account by March 1, 2022, check with your bank to see if it has been received
My direct deposit was sent on the 24th of February and today is March 1st. There are still no funds in my bank account and I contacted my bank. They mentioned there are no pending transactions for it. I also cannot get through at all on the IRS phone line. Yes I already checked the third party bank through turbotax and that shows nothing. What are my options and how do I find out when I will actually receive my refund?
