Is a credit check required to get a card or for Refund Advance?

No. There’s no credit check required to get the Turbo Prepaid Visa Card or to apply for Refund Advance.

I just called and asked why a debit card or the loan refund was not an option on the screen only direct deposit. and told it was not visible due to a low credit score- who authorized turbo tax to do a credit pull ?

Just got off the phone and told that is not the case- the two options ere not available when i had to use option for refund- only direct deposit available- told other two not available to a low credit score - wo authorized anyone to run my credit ?

When you apply for a Refund Advance through TurboTax, you give permission for First Century Bank, N.A to do a credit check to see if you qualify.

I was not given the option to apply but was told i did not have the option on the screen for the refund advance based on my credit and that is why the option did not appear on my screen. I was told by turbotax I did not qualify for the refund because of my credit- NOTE- I did not apply but apparently turbo tax gave my personal and financial information for century bank to run a credit check prior to me applying to kind of pre approve me. I never authorized this breach of my personal imformation to be forwarded to this bank or green dot.  Turbotax has violated law by providing personal and financial information to a third party without my consent. Is there a lawyer in the house ? pure breach of privacy and the law.
