You can go back through the program to make changes as needed before you mail them in. If you do not need form 8999 you can delete it, or go back through the program to re-answer the questions that generated the form.
This Turbo Tax FAQ will show you how to delete a form.
If you have to amend it, we recommend you do it after you receive your refund.
Please see this Turbo Tax FAQ on when to amend.
@SForrestLO I "completed" the return in TurboTax, and said I was going to mail it in, because the form 8999 was blocking me from e-filing. After I completed the return, printed it, and told TurboTax that I was done, and then I learned that I should not have had a form 8889, which would allow me to e-file, if I could just delete it. The problem is that it will not let me back into the return to edit it without "amending" it, which makes e-filing impossible. Since I did not mail the printed return and cannot make changes to to my TurboTax return without an amendment, is there a technical support system I can use to basically delete my current 2022 return that I printed but have not sent? Is there any recourse for this type of situation that can allow me to e-file my 2022 tax returns? Because I have not mailed the return I completed in TurboTax, I see no reason the existing return cannot be deleted and restarted from scratch.
Unfortunately, the FAQ you posted does not cover situations in which the customer has "completed" the return and can no longer access the tax return editor.

@MoniqueLO_ The Help Article helped me get back into the return, and I connected with a specialist who helped me make the needed changes and submit my return through e-file. Thanks!
Thank you for the update! We are glad you were able to access your return, make the needed changes, and submit your return through e-file.

You can switch to e-filing as long as you have not mailed your return. Please see the below TurboTax Help Article for instructions.
