After you file
@SForrestLO I "completed" the return in TurboTax, and said I was going to mail it in, because the form 8999 was blocking me from e-filing. After I completed the return, printed it, and told TurboTax that I was done, and then I learned that I should not have had a form 8889, which would allow me to e-file, if I could just delete it. The problem is that it will not let me back into the return to edit it without "amending" it, which makes e-filing impossible. Since I did not mail the printed return and cannot make changes to to my TurboTax return without an amendment, is there a technical support system I can use to basically delete my current 2022 return that I printed but have not sent? Is there any recourse for this type of situation that can allow me to e-file my 2022 tax returns? Because I have not mailed the return I completed in TurboTax, I see no reason the existing return cannot be deleted and restarted from scratch.
Unfortunately, the FAQ you posted does not cover situations in which the customer has "completed" the return and can no longer access the tax return editor.
