You would have to print, sign and mail the 2013 return. You are way too late to receive a tax refund for 2013, but if you owe the IRS, they want to be paid. Pay the amount shown as tax due on the tax form and then expect a bill from the IRS for the penalty and interest due. If the return shows a refund, there will not be a penalty for filing it late, but you have forfeited the refund.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS and/or your state received the return.
The instructions for completing a prior year return will not work for a 2013 return ... if you do need to file it then save the PDF of the return, print, ink sign and mail it in.
