I have not received a letter explaining the change in refund amount

I filed my taxes 2/18/2025. Received a refund although it was much LESS that what I had filed. At this time, March 25, 2025 I have yet received a letter of explanation of the difference.

What does the IRS refund site show for the amount of the refund the IRS issued? Is there any message there?

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
