How long does it take to recieve refund paper check once the irs has mailed it?x

You should be able to start tracking your return 4 weeks after you mailed your return to the IRS using the Where's My Refund? site. You should call the IRS to check the status of your refund if it's been 6 weeks or more since you mailed your return using the link provided below:

My refund issued date is 11/30/2020. You said you got your refund in 3 days. I live in fort worth Texas. Did your refund  come from Austin Texas.

Refunds are issued from several different service centers ... so when the post office delivers yours you will have it.

Hi All - I can see IRS has mailed me a refund on 20th August but still I haven't received it, can anyone share approx how long it will take, any timeline from your experience? Your help is much appreciated on this.

I mailed my taxes in on may 17th and they just now sent it out yesterday!

@Aqeedah The IRS Where's My Refund website displays progress through these three stages:

1. Return Received
2. Refund Approved
3. Refund Sent

The IRS doesn't offer tracking once the refund check is mailed.

I filed my taxes feb 16 and I received a notification from irs app that I was suppose to come March 18. It still hasn't come. But I checked this morning March 19 and it said sent.  My question is if it said mailed out by the 18 does it mean the day after. Please I need help. 🙏🏾

@Markel1992 The IRS might have mailed it on the day they mentioned or it might have gone into an envelope a day or two later.  But mail takes more than a day to arrive in your mailbox even after the IRS puts it into the mail system.   It could take a week or two to show up in your own mailbox.  It will come by first class mail without tracking so you will just have to watch your mailbox.

One last question would it be possible to track it thru USPS app if it's first class mail. Because I have an account and it shows my address and if I receive any mail but nothing shows I have incoming mail.  Because it's first class would I show or not show thru the app????

@Markel1992 If you have the "informed delivery" app, you should be able to see the envelope from the U.S. Treasury just the same way as you would see any other envelope coming to you via first class mail.   But again----do not expect it to arrive within a day or two of when the IRS mails it.   It takes longer.

My husband passed away, so I didn't get a choice of direct deposit.  I always do direct deposit for my own, so I'm not sure what to expect with the check being mailed.  It says it was mailed on Sept. 16.  Here is it Sept 24 and nothing.  Been using informed delivery and shows nothing again for today.  I'm panicking as we need this badly.  Wish I knew how long to expect.
