After filing, I no longer have access to all the itemized notes for my small business deductions. For instance, under "Communication", I may have had a "Cell Phone" and a "Internet Service" note.
Where can I find these notes? I know I had access to them in previous years...
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Phone support is worthless. Even after getting a "service number" from the online help, they still don't answer the phone.
In days prior, I spoke to a technical support rep, but all they did was reference search terms within the online help with no solution.
I asked for a supervisor..... and was put on hold for a supervisor for over 2 hours and finally just hung up.
My business will be going elsewhere next year, if this isn't figured out.

When you print or save your return for your records, choose the option to print 'tax return, all worksheets' or 'tax return, key calculation worksheets'. There will be a Schedule C Worksheet as part of those documents that will itemize your entries for the Schedule C.
I'm not looking for a copy of my Schedule C (I can find that).
I'm looking for the notes I took in the TurboTax platform in order to come to each of the Schedule C numbers.
Again, for example, within the "Communication" line item on Schedule C, were a number of itemized notes within TurboTax (i.e. "Cell Phone Service" and "Internet Service").
How do I go back and view these notes within TurboTax?
Look for the Schedule C Worksheet, not the Schedule C.
The items will be broken down the way you entered them on the Worksheet. It may be labeled Sch C Wks.
Update: To view notes for last year's filing (in this case, my recent 2019 filing)..... at least for now....
- Goto Tax Home
- Scroll down to where you see your Federal and State return info
- Look for button "Add a State"... Press that!
- Now look at the left menu bar.....
- Press on "Federal"
- This should allow you back into your Federal tax filing notes (again, at least for now.....)
However, I would really like access to my 2018 notes. Any help would be appreciated! 🙂
Where should I be looking for this option, @AnnetteB6 ?
I can only seem to download the full tax return (no worksheet seems to be attached) by clicking on the link in the Tax Home screen
Try going to the menu on the left side of the screen -- Tax Tools. Then choose Print Center. This should allow you to choose what you want to print or save as a PDF. One of the choices will give you the tax return and all calculation worksheets. This will include the Schedule C Worksheet that you seek.
That answer does not at all address my question........ ::facepalm::
Again, as I posted over a week ago......

Also, I have no options for "Tax Tools" or "Print Center" on the left side of my screen.....
Click on Add a State to let you back into your return.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
I've already identified this as a solution for accessing the 2019 information.......
I need access to my 2018 information
You never mentioned it was for 2018. Sorry the answers have been for 2019.
If you cant get the worksheet details in the full pdf you can download the .tax2018 file and open it in the 2018 Desktop program to get all the entries. Ask support to push you the program download.
