I need to download turbotax amendment software for mac 2014

Here is some helpful information regarding downloading an amendment for 2014..  Hope this helps..

If you need to Amend your 2014 return, you will want to start with the following steps:

1. sign in to the TurboTax account you used to file your 2014 return.
2. Click 2014 in the Tax Timeline (You may first need to click "Load my Timeline" in the lower-right corner).
3. In the Some things you can do section, click the Amend (change) 2014 return link.  
4. The next screen will instruct you to Download your .tax file.  Click Download your .tax file and save the file to your desktop or other easy-to-find location.  Don't try to open it yet.
5. Next, click Download TurboTax Desktop.  This takes you to a page where you can download the windows software that corresponds to the tax year you need.  If you need to install TurboTax 2014 on a Mac, please contact us.
6. Then install TurboTax Desktop 2014.
7. To amend your return, follow the steps in How do I Amend a 2014 return in the TurboTax CD/Download Software?

I just tried to do this & was informed by support that they can only supply customers with TurboTax products for the 3 prior tax years. Thus, as of 2020, if you need to amend a return for a year prior to 2017, you have to go out in the market and find a desktop version of the product and purchase it.

Shame on you, Intuit.  Very, very poor customer support!! I am very disappointed today.

You added onto a thread that is several years old and the info is out of date ... don't let the june 2019 date fool you ... when the old threads were migrated from the old forum to this new one ALL the prior year threads got the generic 6/2019 date attached to them.  

The answer you got from support is correct ... only the current + 3 prior tax years are supported.   In a couple of weeks the 2019 program will be moved to the prior list and the 2016 program will drop off automatically.  Then in December the 2020 program will become operational.

And if you do find a Turbo Tax program older than 2016 to install you won't be able to update it or download any state programs you might need.  So it will be of no use.

And.....if you were hoping to amend a 2014 return for a better refund, it is too late.  You only had three years to amend for a better refund.

To file a 2014 now you can either find local professional assistance  or  use the paper forms from the IRS. Either way it must be mailed in.
