Did you choose to pay any product fees out of your Federal refund?
If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, your funds will first go from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank--either Civista Bank of Sandusky, Ohio, or Green Dot Bank. At the intermediary bank the fees are subtracted, then the rest of your funds are sent on to your bank (or prepaid debit card) in a second deposit. The company that handles that is SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group.)
Less commonly there can be delays at the intermediary bank, and additional ID info, etc. might be required.
If for any reason the second deposit fails (the one that is actually to your bank or card), it will bounce back to SBTPG's bank who will issue you a paper check in the mail.
Once the IRS has released your funds, you can log in to your temporary account at SBTPG to see the status of your funds.
To log in, choose the taxpayer portal at:
https://www.sbtpg.com/
SBTPG
has a phone contact page at the following link. It also shows their business hours. Even when they are
closed, you may be able to get automated info, or you can log in as
above.
Would you mind elaborating on this?
Im Troymella M Antoine my refund was receive by ur bank my ss# [removed] u received it on 4/1/2020 for 7957 an one for 7831 i have not received any one of my taxes
If you have not received a return from a prior year, you would need to contact the IRS. @Troymella
I am trying to get my 2020 refund that is in a green dot bank account.I have the account numbers.but cant get ahold of anyone so my Advocate told me too contact you.
Thank you
@ Christinevonsalzen TurboTax will not have any information concerning your tax refund once the 2020 tax return was accepted by the IRS.
If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

I would like to talk to someone from customer service about my tax income return I keep trying to call but I can't get through so if you can call me back at [phone number removed] I would appreciate it thank you
@Cartercuts This is a public website that can be seen by anyone including scammers and would-be identity thieves who would love to call you and pretend to be from TurboTax so the filter removed your phone number for your own protection. Please do not post your personal information in the user forum.
No one from the forum can call you. And...if your refund went to the third party bank, that is who you have to contact--not TurboTax.
Your tax refund was not sent to TurboTax. TurboTax does not handle your refund at all.
Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.
You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com
