I recently prepared my 2019 taxes using TurboTax Deluxe for the first time. It was mostly a trouble-free experience. Good!
I did run into one significant problem. Near the beginning of the process the software asked if I used a standard deduction or itemized deduction last year. I wasn't sure sure, so I clicked on the help or more info link. The advice was that if I had a deduction of $12,000 or $24,000, then I had used the standard deduction last year. Any other amount, and I had itemized deductions.
That just didn' seem right to me, so I started doing some research. After 45 minutes of searching I had my answer. I was over 65 last year, and that made my standard deduction $1,300 more. If my wife had also been over 65, the standard deduction would have increased another $1,300.
Those extra amounts should definitely be included in the help or more info link. Otherwise, the help or info link could be very misleading.

Yes that's been brought up before. I mentioned it to the moderators, but don't hold your breath. Probably won't be updated.
