You must amend last years tax return and add it there. There's no IRS option for adding to this years return.
By "last year" do you mean 2017? You cannot just lump that income onto 2018's return. That is a big NO NO.
A 1040X cannot be e-filed. It must be printed and mailed. It will take about 3-4 months for the IRS to process an amended return. It is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it, like UPS or certified mail, so you will know it was received.
Wait about 3 weeks from mailing and you can check the status of your amended return:

I have tried following the instructions for amending.
I cannot find the option "Your tax return & documents" where it indicates I should on this page:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-my-turbotax-online-return/00/27577
When I go to the home page and select "Previous Taxes" and make sure it is "2018" I select "Amend taxes" it tells me I cannot because it is after 10/15.
The "Learn More" page does not help me at all.

I am currently on a Mac. Is there a way to do it there? It would be difficult to get my PC back up and running at this time.
Sorry no. There is no amend software for a Mac.
You will need to contact TurboTax support and request that they push a 2018 Mac installation file to your download account so that you can amend the 2018 tax return completed using the online editions.
Use this website to contact TurboTax support during business hours - https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/
Support can also be reached by messaging them on these pages https://www.facebook.com/turbotax/ and https://twitter.com/TeamTurboTax
I am a Mac CD user and I found this TurboTax link very helpful https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-my-return-in-the-turbotax-cd-download... ; however, I was stuck at Step 4: "You should now be working inside the copy you'll be amending. Inside your program, search for amend and then click the Jump to link."
It turned out this Step 4 should be something like:
4.1 open your 2018 program, under EasyStep option menu, select "SearchTopic" option
4.2 type in "amend", then you will see the proper help pop up on the screen.
