After 4 weeks TurboTax finally emails me “your refund is on the way” start checking your account tomorrow to see if refund posted. So my refund is in route to me correct?

And will I be receiving both my federal and set are returns together I checked on the Michigan state Where’s my refund page but all it has is one option circled in being return received (and return under review is not bubbled in so I thought this was a bad thing) but I called Michigan tax refund line and was told she can absolutely ensure me one thing and only one thing that my state refund is being worked on and it’s currently being reviewed over but the thing I can ensure you is not the date but assurance that thus far no flags have come up and there’s nothing holding up your return thus far no flags no requests for manually review over nothing st all which usual means you should except to see your state return anytime soon considering flags would of long been issued since we have started reviewing your return over 20 days ago. So I’m wondering the other bubble on where’s my refund tool for state of Michigan that has the option (manual review) is in fact not selected and it seems like from what I heard with my conversation this is a good thing and I should be expecting my funds anytime now correct? And is my state refund issued 2 weeks after I have submitted it or 2 weeks after they start processing it?

@ahmede23 - the state tax refund and the federal tax refund come separately and they come directly from those government agencies.  Turbo Tax is simply not involved.  

you can check the IRS website for the status of the refund.  Turbo Tax would not know the status.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
