2021Rejected Return

HI,

My 2021 return was rejected with the code lIND-032-04 - 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' in the Return Header must match the e-File database.

This may be correct as I entered the revised AGI that resulted from the 2020 Amended return.  I amended the 2020 return a few days ago.  Should I enter the old (incorrect) AGI in order to have the return accepted?  If so, how will that affect the new 2021 return?  or What would be the implication of entering an incorrect AGI aside of not being able to e-file?

Yes you need to enter the 2020 original AGI not the amended one.  If that doesn't work try 0. It only needs 5he AGI to verify the efile.  It doesn't affect anything.

ENTER 0 FOR AGI. The IRS took a long time last year to process 2020 returns so the AGI didn't get entered in time.  Especially if you mailed it.  That works for most people. See,

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
