Wrong name on w2

My job somehow put my preferred name on my w2 instead of my government name and they can’t change it. What do I do?

Why can't they change it? Is your last name, and social security number the same? If so, you can still file using this W-2 and it should not create an issue.

You should however, get your name changed to your legal name with HR as soon as possible so next year your W-2 is correct.

I converted a trad IRA funded with after tax $ to a roth IRA. The system is showing the entire amount as taxable income instead of just the earned amount. Is that wrong?
