Wisconsin Schedule WD 2021

"Line 15a - Adjustment from Wisconsin Schedule Q1.  Enter the number as a negative"

Schedule Q1 supposedly deals with gains from Wisconsin established businesses.  None of my gains are from Wisconsin based businesses.  I am unable to find where I can answer no to this item nor TurboTax will offer Schedule Q1.  Software bug?

To exclude capital gain from your Wisconsin nonresident return:

  • Go to the Wisconsin section of TurboTax
  • Keep going until you reach Here's the income that Wisconsin handles differently
  • Edit Wisconsin Capital Gains and Losses
  • Say YES to Adjustments for Capital Gains and Losses?
  • Continue to Short-Term Capital Gains and Losses Summary if you have short-term transactions and click Edit.
  • On Short-Term Gain or Loss check the box Don't report on my Wisconsin return
  • Do the same thing for Long-Term Capital Gains and Losses

Wisconsin Schedule WD 2021

I am not seeing a "Don't report on my Wisconsin return" check box.  Intuit successfully imported my tax information from my Fidelity account to my tax return. I did notice that a small short term loss of $49.00 did not carry over but I'm not worried about that.  Wisconsin QI schedule supposedly only pertains to Wisconsin businesses which does not pertain to my transactions.

You can enter the loss of $49 as Ernie described above. As for the QI, it is not a worksheet in Turbo Tax. It goes to line 15a of the WD and is indeed for business income. See State Forms Availability You state that it does not pertain to you so you should not need to mark anything. Adjustments need to be in the Income the WI handles differently section.
