Will I be able to see my return amount before I actually file ?

You can view your Form 1040 at any time.  Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen.  Click on Tools.  Click on View Tax Summary.  Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

When you use TurboTax, as you go the review your refund amount will be updating. When you are done, you will get a final amount of what the refund will be. You are free to decide not to file as long as you don't efile your return. Once it is efiled then you will not be able to cancel the return. Also keep in mind, if you owe any fees and you pay them but decide not to file, the fees are not refundable.
