I always file my federal taxes electronically which is included with my TurboTax purchase but file my state on paper.
Why is it so difficult to do this? It would be so easy if there was just a check box to indicate I wanted to file this way. The necessary forms would then be printed along with an instruction sheet.
Also as mentioned in another post. This year's Macintosh edition crashes frequently, something I have not had to deal with before. There seems to be no direct way to communicate with Intuit regarding technical issues except a phone call.

Yes, you can easily paper-file your state return after you e-file your federal return.
In the File section, you are asked about your federal first, then you state return. When you e-file your federal, you can choose to e-file, or print and mail your state.
Anytime you want to ask questions, or offer suggestions, you can do that here.
Done.
Please make the Mac version of TurboTax stable (I was ready to go after printed forms)
Please offer an option to manually file state taxes and print needed forms
Yes, I have done it that way for years.
My point was that if there was a check box to select that option it would print what I needed to file rather than extracting it from the entire federal and state forms.
