Why is is asking if I am my son our daughter?

Are you using the same online account that was used by your son or daughter to prepare a past tax return?   If you and one of your kids used the same account and user ID for returns last year, the second one overwrote the first one.   When you use online TurboTax, you only get one return per fee.   Each returns needs its own account and user ID.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.
