If you did not start a 2022 tax return using the TurboTax online editions on or before October 16, 2023 then only the 2022 TurboTax desktop editions can be used to complete and file a 2022 tax return.
A 2022 tax return can now only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
The extended IRS filing deadline for 2022 tax returns was October 16, 2023, not October 31. It's not clear what you think is the significance of the October 31 date.
Well there is a blue banner at the top of this screen saying Oct 31 for Online and Nov 16 for Desktop. Sounds like it means efiling. Otherwise it would be the same date?
Here is a TurboTax support FAQ that provides some information - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/disaster-recovery/tax-deadline-extension...

It's not clear what the status of ralderma20's tax return is. You cannot start a new return in TurboTax Online after October 16. You can e-file until October 31 only if you started the return before October 16.
The blue banner on the home screen says "If you started your 2022 tax return with TurboTax, you have until Oct 31 at 9PM PST to file your return online."
The FAQ that DoninGA referenced says "TurboTax Online will close for the 2022 tax year at midnight, Monday, October 16, 2023 for new tax filers. Filers in states with federal extensions who started their tax return using TurboTax Online will be able to finish e-filing their return before October 31, 2023."
