Where does it state whether i am filing a 1040, or an 1040A

If you are using the Free Edition, it only handles simple 1040-A and 1040-EZ returns, with standard deductions.

If you are using Deluxe or higher that will have the 1040 long form.

NOTE: You can check to see which one you have by following the steps here below

Log into your account and click the orange Take me to my return button
Go to My Account in top right
Choose Tools and then View Tax Summary
Once there, click Preview my 1040 near top and it will show on the form which one you have.
