On the screen where you enter your Form 1099-DIV, check the box that says "My form has info in more than just these boxes." That will give you boxes to enter all the information on the 1099-DIV, including box 11.

In the 2022 version of the software, when selecting that I have more boxes - the list jumps from box 10 to box 12. There is no box to enter for box 11 - is this a software mistake?? How do I enter box 11 data?

_________
Careful All. Don't get the year's mixed up......The original post was for tax year 2020 (also works with 2021)
BUT
The 1099-DIV form box numbering was changed for 2022 taxes. For 2022 taxes, tax-exempt interest is now in box 12.
(Yes, it is possible that some institutions may not have updated their -DIV forms to the proper 2022 numbering format)
