When I upload my coinbase transactions file, it says there are no headers. Is there an easy way around this?

I have tried to go to the coinbase website and the ONLY place to download it is in the reports page but the report it downloads doesn't seem to have headers.

Please retry the download and see if it will help. If not, please contact Coinbase to see if they have a solution.

Here are two articles with instructions for downloading from Coinbase.

I've contacted Coinbase, but have not gotten a response.  If Coinbase is a Turbotax partner, I'm not sure i understand the need for the back and forth.  It appears the issue is with the way that TurboTax is interpreting the file -- is there a different avenue of support to have someone @ TurboTax examine the file to determine why the error?

Hi @AkinaLO,

I've been reading all over these forums (and other forums online), and it looks to me like there is an issue on TurboTax's side, WRT reading the csv files from Coinbase.

Is there someone at turbotax that can verify that the current version of TurboTax can read/import the current version of csv transaction log from Coinbase?

Is there documentation that you can share that specifies the format requirements from the Coinbase CSV?

Thanks @AkinaLO, I'll call support the next time I'm in there.

Just so I know: Has someone from TurboTax validated the content of those two articles for this tax year? From what I understand from these forums (and other online forums), those two articles are just wrong, or no longer applicable. It might be worth having someone review them, and update them (or take them down).

In case you guys are not following the other longer thread for this... Looks like Intuit just yanked the rug out from underneath us.

TurboTax still hasn't fixed this bug. I've spoken to them and their solution is to talk to a Tax Specialist at a cost of more money. That's unacceptable.
