When you import from a bank or financial institution you use the user ID and password you normally use when you use that bank's website. Few if any financial institutions have 2020 date formatted for import this early in the tax season. Usually data is avaiable for import in very late January or sometime in February.
I have followed instruction for importing PNC In vestment info. it does not work

Instead of identifying PNC as your institution, try using National Financial. National Financial is "processing" PNC's accounts. It worked for my 1099-DIV information. You "find" the import ID in your PNC account as follows: Log on, click on "Total Insight", click on "transaction menu" button, scroll down, click on "Quicken" button. It shows your user ID. THEN, you have to call the 800 # to get the "password". (It's quite a lot of steps!)
Be sure to select the right financial institution or brokerage from the list. For example, several participating partners' names start with First National Bank and if you select the wrong First National Bank, you won't be able to import.
Find the broker's official name and search with that. Sign into your brokerage account before you import to see how the name is reflected on their website and search for that name. Sometimes the most difficult part of importing is choosing the correct partner account from the list.
If you get an error, make sure you are trying to import from the correct website before you contact your financial institution. As you may not have selected the correct name. Some brokers have multiple sub-brokers that have very similar names.
Thanks PammyK. Changed pnc investment to national financial solved the issue.
There is no Total Insights button on the PNC web page.
Using National Financial and the PNC ID and password obtained from calling the Investor Services Group worked. I am now looking at a screen showing all the tax information for download. Thanks
