This is not good customer service- TT promotes one free state return and then bait and switch. TT wants to charge if you don't send a paper copy. Will consider other tax software next year.

 In the Desktop program you get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is $20 to efile, usually goes up to $25 March 1. Or you can print and mail state for free.  

Box or online says Federal Returns & Federal E-File plus State Returns.  It does not say state efile is included.  It also says on the back of my CD case in the comparison chart....

I saw the same thing!   The program said $20 to file each state and then when I got redirected to pay at intuit.com it was $25 for each state.  That seems like bait and switch to me.

When visiting our website to select your product, you can click the blue hyperlink that says 1 state download. State e-file additional located under the product you selected.  This will provide the cost of the state and e-filing. You can also refer to the attached image.
