What do i put in the State and Local Tax Refund Summary box? There was a # placed there but I have the option to edit. Where would I find the number to input?

The State and Local Tax Refund Summary shows the amount of state tax refunds you received in 2020. TurboTax will automatically pull the refund information from your 2019 state return(s). The number will be correct if you did not receive a state tax notice adjusting your refund.

Edit these numbers if your state tax refund is different from what is shown in TurboTax. If your state refund was deposited into a bank account, you can check your old bank statements to confirm the amount.

You state will also issue a Form 1099-G with the refund amount. Some states mail these forms, but many states require you go to their state tax website to download a copy of Form 1099-G.
