Told me updates were necessary. So I closed it all out. When I later reopened to run the updates, it's making me start from scratch - as if all the time I spent creating it is now totally gone. Please help me find it.

I've been on the phone for over three hours with three different people, all of whom probably know how to help with taxes but not with data that completely disappeared. How in the world can I reach someone - probably tech - who can help recover my tax return info that I spent hours inputting?!!
TurboTax support sucks.
Did you save your tax file before exiting the program and updating it? If so, please try the steps in the below TurboTax Help Articles.
You will also want to check your OneDrive if you are a Windows user as well as any portable storage devices you have connected to your PC. Also, please double-check that the files are not in your recycle/trash bin.
