Turbotax insists that I need to pay an underpayment penalty. However, after doing the math offline, I think there's a bug in the code. Turbotax apparently ignores the fact that I applied some of my refund from last year to my estimated taxes for the first quarter, so I did not underpay. Not sure what to do about this, and no, I do NOT want to file a form 2210.

Did you enter the 2020 refund applied to 2021 taxes?
To enter, change or delete a refund from the prior year applied to this years taxes (Federal, State, Local) -
On the next screen select the options under 2020 Refund Applied to 2021
Or enter refund applied to this year in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to refund applied to this year
The prior year refund amount applied is shown on Form 1040 Line 26
Yes, the amount is entered and the amount entered there is correct.

Wait for the Form 2210 for tax year 2021 to be finalized and available in TurboTax. The Form 2210 is estimated to be available on 02/17/2022.
OK, thanks, although I really do not want to file 2210, because this is unnecessarily complicated for something I shouldn't have to file/pay in the first place.
