To solve the import issue from Quickbooks 2021 to TurboTax 2023 business requires you to buy a 2024 Desktop subscription and convert your files to it
or enter all the data manually
Yes we are screwed
I ended up entering the data manually. Very disappointing!
I also am seeing this problem. TurboTax Business is not finding Quickbooks 2021.

On the "Let's Enter Your Quickbooks Info" screen it specifically states under Improved Features: that it is "Now compatible with Quickbooks 2021 through 2024 (No new purchase required)"
Is this a false statement?

There is no way of importing QB 2021 into TT 2023. I have been complaining about this for 2 weeks to no avail. TT always tells me there is no problem. I opened TT 2021 and imported QB, just to be sure it found where my file was located, and it still worked. This is very frustrating. I have talked to 6-8 support people hoping to get someone that knows what I am talking about. That hasn't happened yet.
Intuit requires you to buy QB desktop subscription or manually enter data into TT business
Is it a false statement?
I am having the same problem. Have to manually put in the data. Can't believe how much money Intuit wants to make of people. In the future, may have to look for a better product/ tax software combination.
I have been complaining about this for weeks. Supposedly they are working on the problem. Not sure of when an update will be issued or if ever.
Same problem here. I have QB Desktop 2021, and was able to import into TT Business 2022 just fine last year. If Intuit wants the customer base to adopt a newer product line or model, make it enticing for people to want to migrate. Dropping functionality in the hope to force your customers to migrate is never good business practice. Support the customers you do have. Make them feel like they have a good business relationship with you. They will be more willing to buy new products from you in the future. These types of actions do not sit well with customers and they will be more likely to seek solutions elsewhere.
any luck getting this to work?
