@prebrook, did you try the tool I pointed to in my earlier post. Also, when you created the app-specific password in Wealthfront did you correctly spell Turbotax as one word?
And I also can't believe that you spent $100 on TT. Dd you have to buy extra states?
You may need to check your brokerage to see if they are allowing third-party access. Although the following Help Article is for Schwab, it is possible that your brokerage has restricted TurboTax's access to your statements unless you grant consent, and you might need to do something similar to what is described here How can I fix my 1099 import issue?
CarissaM, that is an incorrect answer. Wealthfront is definitely allowing importing of data by third parties, I just did it this weekend. In fact, they have a new unique password that has to be set up for each application, and it is a long and ugly 32 character code. Turbotax is foolishly not allowing users (CUSTOMERS) to paste the password into the field, and even worse they mask the field, so you cannot even see what you're typing to make sure you have not made any errors.

Yes, I am also having the exact same problem.
I do not know why they changed import from Wealthfront to an App-specific password. It should have remained similar to other brokerages such as TD Ameritrade where a document ID has been working well for years now.
I have tried the tool from the above message and it does fill-in the password, but I am still getting a user/password error. Eventually my account gets locked.
Sounds like you do not have it set up properly at Wealthfront. Make sure you have TurboTax spelled correctly. I also capitalized it as I just typed it, although I would be surprised if that mattered.
@mister_bill I did not try your solution, because I'm 100% sure the password was entered correctly. I also changed the password and re-entered it. I compared the masked value to the unmasked value and they matched. I paid 100, because I had to buy the premier download version, because I've had issues with importing on the online version. I think I spelled TurboTax with an upper case T, but I'm not 100% certain.
I tried calling support and the queue length was an hour. I can probably manually enter the data faster than dealing with that.

You need create a special passcode for turbotax thru wealthfront website.
follow the link.
I could import the 1099.
Hooray!!! This finally worked for me. I kept deleting and recreating new app-specific passwords in Wealthfront until I got one that worked. Not only is it extremely aggravating that you can't cut and paste but also that you can't see the 32 character password that you are typing. Although it appears that Turbotax is only letting you type in 28 characters, it is in fact letting you type in 32. I figured ithis out when I hit the backspace through the entered password and noticed that it was taking 32 characters even though it appeared to stop after 28. I really think that the reason this wasn't working is because the initial app-generated passwords I was using contained characters that were easy to misinterpret (ex. 0 vs O, and uppercase I vs lowercase l) and that I could not see what I was typing so the possibility of typos is high. To
Turbotax needs to enable the copy and paste function or at a minimum let the user see what they are typing.
@prebrook , not sure what you mean about changing the password and re-entering it. Remember that you're entering the app-specific password generated by Wealthfront, not your normal login password.
You may not feel comfortable using that program I posted, but it worked fine for me and I scanned it for viruses (virii?) before running it. You should do the same before running it.
The other option is just to manually enter your 1099 info from WF, although it's a pain given the number of trades and securities they hold in your account.
As for paying $100 for Premier, you could have purchased it for much less at Amazon, Staples or many other places.
I was able the 1099 after entering my email ID in ALL CAPS.
Also, this time Turbotax box accepted all the characters in the password.
I do not know whether Turbotax have tweaked their program.
good luck.
It didn't work for me either and it was not accepting the password, but this helped:
1. Go to www.wealthfront.com/settings/security
2. Scroll down to "Link Wealthfront to other apps"
3. Click "+ Generate an app specific password"
4. Copy that password and try logging in using it
@Anonymous but you had to type all 32 characters into a field that hides what you're typing. There are multiple problems here. The underlying problem is that WF is requiring an app-specific automatically generated 32-character password to access your data from TT. But then TurboTax's very poor implementation of entering site passwords comes into play, which makes the long password troublesome.
