I bought this product to file a joint return with my spouse, but my filing was rejected. We found out that we cannot file jointly because my spouse was listed as a dependent on their family’s tax documents. However, Turbotax had already charged me for the service.
Since I paid for a service I cannot use, I wanted to request a refund. However, despite calling your call center multiple times over the past week and submitting a cancel/refund request through your website, I have not received any response.
It feels like you expect me to beg for a refund for a service I never received, which is completely unacceptable. I would like to know what happened to the 60-day money-back guarantee you promise on your website.
Additionally, since April 15 is the tax deadline, I need my refund processed as quickly as possible.
I am extremely disappointed with how Turbotax has handled this, and none of your customer service representatives have been able to assist me. I kindly request a refund for my purchase without further delay

If your spouse was claimed as a dependent on her parents' return, you can change your filing status in MY INFO to file married filing separately since you cannot file jointly. Go back in to MY INFO and make some changes. When it asks if you want to file with your spouse say NO---you have to do this before April 15. You will still include some information about your spouse because there are strict rules for filing MFS. Go through those MY INFO screens very slowly and very carefully.
If I am filing a separate return why do I have to list my spouse’s information on my return?
Even if you file separate returns (the worst way to file) you each have to list each other's SSN's and some other information on your own tax return. The IRS can then cross check to make sure you are not "double dipping" for itemized deductions, dependents, etc.
If you are in a community property state, there is more information that will be needed.

Once you make the necessary changes to your filing status, try e-filing again. If it will not let you e-file, then file it by mail. Your TurboTax fee is the same whether you e-file or file it in an envelope.
If your spouse had any income to enter on a tax return she can also file married filing separately but must say on her own return that she can be claimed as someone else's dependent.
