I'm not the only one?  The chat with the "expert" started with a heavy sigh, and continued on with the clear signal that I could not be a bigger waste of his time.

The IRS agents, on the other hand, have been incredibly nice.  And  they don’t recommend TurboTax- anecdotally at least, they’re seeing the same errors over and over with the recovery funds questions.

Okay, I need to update. The first dude gave a w-h-o-l-e new meaning to the word "rude". Then, tried again. This woman was FABULOUS! Could not have been more helpful. So, one big BOO. And a huge YAY!

Hi, my name is Jeremy varney and I’m trying to find out what is going on with my taxes and my stimulus I’ve tried calling and I keep being told to call back over and over again and I’m checked both sites and I keep being told it’s still processing why? And if there is something wrong on my taxes what do I need to do to fix them so I can get my stimulus and my taxes I mean seriously how are we supposed to talk to someone if we can’t never get through or the lines always busy you can reach me at [email address removed]

Turbo tax reps incredibly rude?

Sorry that you are having a bad experience with the IRS.  TurboTax does not issue refunds or Stimulus checks.  TurboTax is a tax preparation platform.  If you have submitted your return to the IRS, then TurboTax is out of the picture.  IRS is forbidden to discuss your information with TurboTax because of privacy laws.  There could be several reasons why you have not received your Stimulus or refund.

 

IRS is very busy now with all of the added work of Stimulus checks, CARES Act changes, issuing refunds, processing amendments, and still doing the normal everyday routine with half the staff because of Covid.  However, here is some information that might provide some insight on the status of your return.

 

Your e-filed return is still in pending on the server because the IRS is currently accepting/rejecting/processing returns.  Sometimes it can take more than 48 hours to process. Only a few returns were accepted early in a test batch.  Everyone else has been waiting. Please see the TurboTax FAQ below for more information on pending returns:

Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS.

 

It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates.

Yes, at 3:33pm today central time, i received a call back from Joyce, i think that was her name—i had spoke to a tax expect earlier and she was very helpful and respectful and i indicated this on her survey but i lost my internet connection before i was completed.  The second call at 3:33 i must say left me shaking with disbelief to how i was spoken to—please, please listen to the conversation since the message said its recorded.  She spoke down to me so disrespectfully, so rudely, so hurtful—obviously, i never received her survey—my cell number is [phone number removed] if u need additional information—to be honest, im scared to request another call for assistance in that i dont want to experience this again—it was a painful experience—please, please look into this as she should never again pass on this horrible experience to anyone else who needs turbo tax assistance—thanks!!!!
