After installing (and updating) TT 2023 on my Mac I pointed it to my 2022 file for import (transfer). It failed to transfer all of my 1099-Rs. I file the 1040-SR form. I called support and was told TT won't transfer the 1040-SR form. That sounds bogus. I have been using the -SR form for several years. The transfer has always worked in the past. Any idea why TT 2023 failed to transfer all of my 1099-Rs from 2022?

Ok ... only the PDF of the 1040-SR form will not transfer properly but the .taxfile transfers just fine. So look at the prior year's 1099-R forms carefully ... if box 2b (total distribution) was marked then that form would not be transferred forward since the 2022 distribution would/should have cleared the account.
If you need them back you can simply enter them manually in the 2023 program instead of starting over again and getting the same result.
The agent you spoke was referring to transferring a Form 1040-SR PDF, that PDF is not supported for transfer to the current tax year.
If you transferred the 2022 tax data file (.tax2022) the forms should have all transferred over to the 2023 return. Unless you indicated on the 2022 Form 1099-R when in Forms mode - Do not transfer this 1099-R to next year

Yup, you're right. That was an error on my part. The 1099-R has 2b not checked, either box.
Do I need to file an amended return without the box checked?
No amendment needed ... this only affected how the program treated the carryover of the forms.
