Please help....I logged into my TT acct that I have used for the last 15 years (I only use 1 user name and email) and it finds me and I scroll to the bottom where it says "your tax returns and documents" and expand that...and for each year 2020, 2019, 2018 ,etc, etc it says "you didn't use TT to file". No way. I have all the PDFs and all the hard copies and ONLY file with TT. Please help....why does TT think i didn't use them. There is no other login to try. I even tried looking up by my email and it finds my acct just fine. I just want to see a previous year's return from their site. What if I wanted to amend my 2020 return, they say I didn't use them....and I'll holding the hard copy printout in my hand with TT name all over it

By any chance did you use the CD/download for your 2020 return? If so, the tax file is on your own hard drive.
No, usually buy thru Costco and they provide the license code and download link past several years.
@MJO2020 If you purchased the CD/download why are you looking in an online account for your return? It is not stored online.
When you use the CD/download the tax files are on your own hard drive or any back up device you use.

If you used desktop software downloaded/installed from a CD to your own computer, then the tax files are stored locally on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive. They are not stored online. If you cannot recover them due to a hard drive failure, etc. you can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $43, an actual copy of your tax return.
