I am in the same situation. They made me upgrade in order to move forward. I triple checked all the social security taxes and they are correct.

The reason could be you have maxed out income for your social security tax ($142,800)

Do not enter cents under SS tax and this should resolve the issue

After removing cents, (In my case I paid .03 cents more in SS), It asks for "Let's check for uncommon situations." Should I click on "None of these apply to me" or check off the "Nonstandard W-2 (handwritten, modified, or altered)" being that my W2 has $744.03 for SS withholding but it should really be $744. Do I need to go through the fuss in calling my employer to send me a corrected W2c for the .03 cents?

No don't bother the employer.
