Transferring from TT online to desktop, then back

Before I transfer from Turbotax online to desktop (premier), i want to confirm that my data will be saved online in  case i want to go back and do it there instead?

Yes but why would you want to go back to Online if you have the Desktop program?   You will have to pay the Online fees in addition to having bought  the Desktop program.   You would not be able to transfer anything you entered in the Desktop return back to online so you would have to re enter anything you did in Desktop.

Just in case it doesn't transfer properly, i don't want to lose all the work i did in the online version

Yes it will still be saved in your Online account.
