I have already filed an extension and overpaid estimated taxes. Your filing page doesn't allow for extension option. I filed the extension through other source.

How do I move forward with filing through TT?

To enter a payment made with an extension request -

• Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
• Click on Deductions and Credits
• Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
• Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
• On Other Income Taxes, click on the start or update button
• On the next screen select the type of extension payment made and click on the start or update button

Or enter federal extension payment in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen.  Click on Jump to federal extension payment

There is no where on the actual tax forms where you indicate that you filed an extension. So, there is nowhere in th TurboTax interview to enter that info.
However, if you made a payment with your extension, you do enter the payment, as previously described. It goes on line 70 of form 1040, separately from withholding or quarterly estimated payments.
