There is no where on the actual tax forms where you indicate that you filed an extension. So, there is nowhere in th TurboTax interview to enter that info.
However, if you made a payment with your extension, you do enter the payment, as previously described. It goes on line 70 of form 1040, separately from withholding or quarterly estimated payments.
